Abstract

Categorías y servicios en el ejército de la dinastía almorávide en las fuentes árabes”. Este artículo ofrece abundante y variada información sobre la organización del ejército de la dinastía almorávide, basada en la consulta de diversas fuentes históricas y obras de referencia árabes, tanto antiguas como modernas, lo cual constituye un interesante complemento a las investigaciones y estudios modernos sobre el particular redactados en lenguas occidentales. El artículo parte de la premisa de que la batalla no puede ganarla una sola categoría del ejército, la categoría armada, sino que es el fruto tel trabajo, colaboración y coordinación de todas las categorías y servicios: los de combate, los auxiliares y los administrativos. El artículo presta especial atención a las denominaciones árabes de cada categoría y servicio, tal como figuran en las fuentes consultadas.
