El Patrimonio arquitectónico de Lebrija (Sevilla) como recurso turístico: propuesta de rutas culturales

Abstract

Lebrija’s historical and architectural heritage offers a big touristic potential. Both its architecture and urban space provide a rich background to define cultural routes with the idea of promoting the town’s rich social heritage.

In short, by analyzing the aforesaid manifestations so as to integrate the city and its heritage through the proposed itineraries, we hope to create an interpretive experience from various perspectives, including monumental architecture, civil and religious spaces, among other things.

The appreciation of the town’s valuable heritage will hopefully provide a stimulus for tourism as well as for local development.

El patrimonio arquitectónico del municipio sevillano de Lebrija posee una gran potencialidad turística. Inmuebles y espacio urbano conforman un variado sustrato material para la definición de rutas de carácter cultural, de las cuales se propone en estas líneas un posible trazado, enfocado a la difusión, la proyección social de este patrimonio. Con el análisis de dichas manifestaciones, en aras de ofrecer la integración de patrimonio y ciudad en esta propuesta de itinerarios, se intentará generar una experiencia interpretativa sobre la relevancia y significación del espacio urbano y sus construcciones desde diversas perspectivas. En suma, se abordarán la arquitectura monumental, los espacios civiles y religiosos, y otros elementos singulares, pretendiendo ofrecer la valoración de estos bienes a modo de recurso para la actividad turística y el desarrollo local a todos los niveles.
