El material folklórico de Mariana Pineda de Federico García Lorca

Abstract

Después de la muerte de Mariana de Pineda en 1836, debido al homenaje que le conmemoran tras cinco años de su muerte, fue una mujer que tuvo mucha repercusión literaria, ya que fue considerada un icono de la libertad y poco a poco se incrementó el número de creaciones literarias basadas en la vida y muerte de la heroína.

Federico García Lorca fue el primer autor del siglo XX en realizar una obra teatral basada en este personaje histórico, Mariana Pineda. Romance popular en tres estampas (1925). La obra teatral fue construida a partir del material popular de transmisión oral y del material literario que surgió desde 1836; así creó un nuevo material mezclando el material popular y el material culto del poeta. Lorca fue conocedor y tomó influencia de la tradición oral porque formó parte de ella. Tomó la «Canción de Marianita» para su reconstrucción y así creó un nuevo material.

After Mariana Pineda's death in 1836, because of an homage that people commemorated to her, five years after of her death, she was a woman who had a lot of literary impact, since she was considered an icon freedom and gradually the number of creations based on the heroine’s life and death increased.

Lorca was the first writer of the 20th century that made a theatrical production based on this person's history, Mariana Pineda. Romance popular en tres estampas (1925). The theatrical production was constructed from the popular material of oral transmission and from the literary material that appeared since 1836; in this way, he created a new material mixing popular material and Lorca’s cultivated language. Lorca was knowledgeable and he took influence from oral tradition, because he formed a part of it. He took “Canción de Marianita” for its reconstruction and in this way he created a new material.
