Nota de crítica textual a una carta de Cristóbal Plantino: nuevas perspectivas sobre las relaciones entre Benito Arias Montano y Hendrik Jansen Barrefelt

Abstract

The present paper aims at discussing a transcription error in the Correspondance de Christophe Plantin (letter from Plantin to Arias Montano dated 16th September 1587) and how this erroneous edition has been revised in the subsequent bibliography on the Plantin House. The importance of the new reading of the text I pose here lies in the fact that it provides us with different perspectives on the exchange of spiritual writings (by means of the members of the Officina Plantiniana), between Hendrik Jansen Barrefelt, the leader of the Family of Love, and the Counter-Reformist Spanish theologian Benito Arias Montano.
