Using the procedure of « dynastic analysis» of the discourses suggested by Foucault, a case study is carried out to show the appearance of the figure of the « pederast priest» in Spain at the end of the 19th century. The event is examined from the newspaper reports published in the summer of 1899 and directed against the abuses committed by Father Doroteo in the school of the Escolapios of Pamplona. This character of the child abusing priest emerges amidst the cultural battles of the Restoration between clericalism and anticlericalism for the control of the school and the « upbringing» of the Spaniards. The pederast priest is configured as a biological enemy of the nation.
