Dominios y dificultades digitales de los estudiantes del curso de Pedagogía de la Universidad Estatal de Ceará (Brasil) a través de la educación a distancia

Abstract

Actualmente es importante que los estudiantes y los profesores tengan una buena formación digital para poder impartir y recibir diferentes contenidos a través de plataformas digitales. En este sentido, este artículo pretende analizar el curso de Pedagogía de la Universidad Estatal de Ceará (Brasil) y dar voz a los diferentes agentes que participan en él para conocer su formación en cuanto a la competencia digital y afrontar su aprendizaje en una modalidad educativa virtual. Para ello desde un estudio de caso, se utilizaron diversos instrumentos, aplicados a 23 estudiantes. Los resultados evidenciaron poco conocimiento sobre el uso de las TIC antes del comienzo del curso semipresencial y revelaron que las precarias condiciones económicas de los estudiantes impedían el acceso a un ordenador con internet en sus casas, lo que tuvo un impacto negativo en la educación académica. Además, que los estudiantes son conscientes de la necesidad de dominar las TIC en la enseñanza de la educación a distancia (ED). Se concluye que los estudiantes de ED en UECE no están bien entrenados para interactuar de forma fructífera y que los profesores tutores necesitan educación continua sobre la educación digital. Como cierre del estudio, recopilando el análisis contextual, se plantea una matriz DAFO.

Nowadays it is important that students and teachers have a good digital education in order to be able to teach and receive different contents through digital platforms. In this sense, this article aims to analyse the Pedagogy course at the State University of Ceará (Brazil) and to give a voice to the different agents who participate in it in order to find out about their training in terms of digital competence and face up to their learning in a virtual educational modality. To this end, various instruments were used from a case study, applied to 23 students. The results showed little knowledge about the use of ICT before the start of the blended learning course and revealed that the students' precarious economic conditions prevented them from accessing a computer with internet at home, which had a negative impact on academic education. Furthermore, that students are aware of the need to master ICT in the teaching of distance education (DE). It is concluded that DE students in the UECE are not well trained to interact successfully and that tutors need continuing education in digital education. To close the study, compiling the contextual analysis, a SWOT matrix is proposed.
