La prensa como fuente para la revisión y reconstrucción del corpus hemerográfico gaditano del Trienio Liberal (1820-1823)

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo completar datos sobre los periódicos publicados en Cádiz durante el Trienio Liberal y ofrecer un listado cerrado de los que se imprimieron. Se atiende para ello a la bibliografía existente, a los catálogos de diversas bibliotecas y, en especial, a la propia prensa, pues a partir de las noticias indirectas aportadas en esta última es posible reconstruir el contenido y la información básica de títulos no preservados, e incluso constatar la existencia de otros desconocidos hasta la fecha. Para esto último, resulta de notable utilidad el Redactor General (1-VII-1820/30-IX-1823).

This paper is aimed at completing the description of the newspapers published in Cádiz during the Liberal Triennium and at offering a complete list of the printed items. For this purpose, the existing bibliography, the library catalogues and, specially, the contemporary press are considered as essential sources. The latter provides indirect news that allows for the reconstruction of the content, the retrieval of basic information of non-preserved titles, and even confirms the existence of other issues that remain unknown to date. In this sense, the Redactor General (1-VII-1820/30-IX-1823) contains remarkable data for this purpose.
