abstract = {The equilibrium profile concept is a useful tool in the coastal management. This concept is based in several assumptions that rarely are satisfied in nature: e.g. the geologic setting has no influence in the profile morphology. Victoria beach is a good example which questions its validity. The ocurrence of a horizontal rocky platform in subtidal zone modifies the profile morphology and controls its seasonal evolution.},
