abstract = {Se presenta un estudio de conjunto de la actividad comercial desarrollada entre el Reino de
Valencia y las ciudades del Estrecho en los siglos XIV y XV a través del registro arqueológico, y principalmente, de los hallazgos de cerámica gótico-mudéjar fabricada en Paterna recuperados en Algeciras,
Ceuta, San Fernando, Jerez, Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz y Rota. Al mismo tiempo, se analizan la tipología de formas de los citados hallazgos (platos, escudillas, cuencos, salseras, jarros, jarritos, vasos, copas,
redomas, candiles, y tinajas), su decoración (verde y morado, loza azul y loza dorada) y su cronología, así
como el establecimiento de los catalano-aragoneses en la ciudad de Algeciras (consulado catalán documentado desde 1345 a 1369) y genoveses como consecuencia de la participación de estas dos potencias
navales en la llamada “Batalla del Estrecho”.},
abstract = {This is an overall study of the commercial activity developed between the kingdom of Valencia
and the cities of the Strait of Gibraltar throughout the 14th and 15th centuries through the archaeological record, mainly of the findings of Gothic-Mudejar ceramics from Paterna recovered in Algeciras, Ceuta,
San Fernando, Jerez, Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz and Rota. At the same time, the typology of forms of
the finds are analyzed (plates, little-bowls, bowls, sauce pots, juglets, glasses, goblets, flasks, lamps, and
jars), their decoration (green and purple, blue earthenware and golden earthenware ) and its chronology, as well as the establishment of the Catalan-Aragonese in the city of Algeciras (Catalan consulate
documented from 1345 to 1369) and Genoese as a consequence of the participation of these two naval
powers in the so-called “Battle of the Strait”.},
