abstract = {El presente artículo busca profundizar en las condiciones discursivas y situacionales que influyen en el uso de la atenuación verbal. Partimos de la siguiente hipótesis: las estructuras discursivas pueden ser evaluadas en función de los parámetros situacionales que determinan la variedad concepcional (oral/escritural) en la que se producen y, según su posición, se espera una mayor o menor presencia de atenuación. Se han tomado noticias y tertulias radiofónicas y se han contemplado a la luz del marco teórico propuesto por Koch y Oesterreicher (1985, 1990[2007], 2011) para comprobar si, tal y como plantean algunos autores (Briz Gómez y Albelda Marco, 2013), dicha estrategia es más frecuente “en contextos situacionales de menos inmediatez o que requieren o se desea presenten menos inmediatez comunicativa” (292). El análisis que aquí se muestra evidencia que esta afirmación no llega a cumplirse en el corpus de este trabajo de investigación.},
abstract = {This article has 
been developed with the aim of 
going in depth in the discursive and situational facts that 
are involved in the use of verbal 
mitigation, semantic-pragmatic strategy that increases the 
communicative efficiency and 
guarantees the achievement of 
the interlocutor’s goals. It starts 
from the following hypothesis: 
discursive structures can be rated on the basis of the situational 
features that draw the variational axis ‘oral-written discourse’ 
and, regarding to its position, 
certain behaviour of mitigation 
is expected. Here two consolidated discursive genres –news 
and news’s radio talk shows–that 
have been approached from Koch 
and Oesterreicher’s theoretical 
framework (1985, 1990[2007], 
2011) are contrastively analysed 
regarding if, as Briz Gómez and 
Albelda Marco (2013: 292) asseverate, mitigation strategies are 
more used among communicative immediacy situations. The 
analysis below shows that such 
premise is not accomplished in 
the corpus of this research study.},
