abstract = {La historia ambiental profundiza en el conocimiento de las interacciones entre la sociedad y el medioambiente. Siguiendo la línea marcada por dicha disciplina, este trabajo se aproxima al relato ambiental de la ciudad de Cádiz. Para ello, se ha explorado el contenido de coplas del Carnaval de los siglos XIX y XX, que nos aportan interesantes informaciones sobre la cuestión desde la óptica de las clases populares. Se tratan tres cuestiones: el impacto de la ciudad en su entorno, el impacto del medio natural en la ciudad y la respuesta urbana a sus propios desajustes y a la problemática medioambiental.},
