abstract = {El topónimo Noheda procede de Novata, nombre de la villa romana propiedad de Novatus
situada a unos 500 m. En el siglo I, los dueños de la villa debieron ser el praefectus fabrum
Manio Octavio Novato, hijo deTito, y su hijo y senador, que patrocinó el teatro de Segóbriga.
Los mosaicos de la villa muestran varias obras teatrales tras la reforma realizada por sus sucesores hacia el siglo IV. Una de ellas, titulada Mimu(s) zelotipi, presenta un argumento y personajes similares a los de un relato de Apuleyo (met. 9,16-21), y transmite las palabras Num
ti(bi…?) de un verso de Plauto (Amph. 709). La finca pudo pertenecer al territorio de Segóbriga, cuyo límite oriental con Valeria debieron ser el río Júcar y la Sierra de Bascuñana hasta
el límite septentrional con Ercávica, comprendiendo las minas de lapis specularis de la región.},
abstract = {The toponym Noheda derives from Novata, the name of the Roman villa belonging to
Novatus, about 500 metres away. In the 1st century, the owners of the villa must have been
the praefectus fabrum Manius Octavius Novatus, son of Titus, and his son and senator, who
sponsored the theatre of Segobriga. The villa’s mosaics show several theatrical pieces after
the renovation carried out by his successors around the 4th century. One of them, entitled
Mimu(s) zelotipi, presents a plot and characters similar to those of a story by Apuleius (met.
9,16-21) and transmits the words Num ti(bi...?) from a verse by Plautus (Amph. 709). The
estate may have belonged to the Segobriga district, whose eastern border with Valeria must
have been the river Jucar and the Sierra de Bascuñana, up to the northern border with Ercavica, including the lapis specularis mines of the region.},
