Su escritura no ha sido normalizada, lo cual ha hecho que existan hasta el momento diferentes formas de plasmarla, ya sea en grafía árabe, en la mayor parte de las veces, ya en grafía latina o latinonumérica. Presentamos en este artículo cuatro propuestas de escritura a partir de cuatro obras escritas en árabe marroquí: la traducción de El Principito, un diccionario de definiciones en árabe marroquí, un diario y el Nuevo Testamento. Las dos primeras están más cercanas al árabe literal, mientras que las dos últimas tienen más en cuenta la pronunciación de las variedades en las que han sido escritas. Las primeras siguen el principio de «donación-orientación» y las segundas el de «donación-desafiante» (Michalski 2019). A partir de estas dos propuestas, intentaremos responder sobre cuál de ellas podría ser la más apropiada para una posible y futura estandarización. Moroccan Arabic has no official status andis regardedas a dialect. Since its orthography had not been standardized, todaythereexist various ways of writing in it: either in Arabic script (most of the time),or in Latin or Latin-numerical script. In this article, I present four proposals of standardizing Moroccan Arabic orthographybasedon four independent pieces written in Moroccan Arabic: the translation ofThe Little Prince, a Moroccan Arabic dictionary of definitions, a diary, andThe New Testament. While the former two are closer to Standard Arabic, the latter two are influenced by the pronunciation of the varieties in which theywere written. Further, while the former two follow the principle of “donor-orientation”, the latter two abide by the principle of “donation-defying”(Michalski 2019). Building my analysis on these two trends of writing inMoroccan Arabic, I will try to suggest which one would be more useful forpossiblefuture standardization.}, publisher = {Editorial Uca}, keywords = {Árabe marroquí}, keywords = {escritura}, keywords = {grafía árabe}, keywords = {estandarización}, keywords = {heterogeneidad}, title = {Nuevas propuestas para la estandarización de la escritura en árabe marroquí: El Principito, un diccionario de definiciones en árabe marroquí, un diario y el Nuevo Testamento}, doi = {10.25267/AAM.2025.v32.03}, author = {Moscoso García, Francisco}, }
