abstract = {This study presents the archaeological work carried out in the megalithic necropolis of La Lentejuela (Málaga, Spain)
between 2021 and 2022. This involved a systematic archaeological survey, including the photogrammetric and laser scanning
recording of all identified megalithic structures, as well as the excavation of two tombs. The results have significantly increased
the number of known megaliths and improved our understanding of construction techniques. They have also provided the site
with updated, high-resolution data. The proximity of La Lentejuela to the notable megalithic clusters of Ronda and Antequera ‒
the latter being the most remarkable assemblage of megalithic tombs on the Iberian Peninsula‒ will contribute to a deeper insight
into the megalithic phenomenon in southern Europe.},
abstract = {Este estudio presenta los trabajos arqueológicos realizados en la necrópolis megalítica de La Lentejuela (Málaga,
España), entre 2021 y 2022. Estos han consistido en una prospección arqueológica sistemática, con registro fotogramétrico y de
escaneo láser de todas las estructuras megalíticas identificadas, y en la excavación de dos tumbas. Los resultados han permitido
aumentar sustancialmente el número de megalitos conocidos, comprender mejor las técnicas constructivas y disponer de datos
actualizados de alta resolución del yacimiento. La proximidad de La Lentejuela a los importantes conjuntos megalíticos de
Ronda y Antequera, este último el conjunto de tumbas megalíticas más significativo de la península ibérica, permitirá un mejor
conocimiento del fenómeno megalítico en el sur de Europa.},
