abstract = {La descortesía afiliativa es un fenómeno pragmático que, aunque incluye actos descorteses como burlas o insultos, se interpreta como una forma de acercamiento interpersonal (Ruiz Gurillo, 2024). A pesar de haber sido ampliamente estudiado en inglés, en español existen pocos trabajos al respecto y ninguno se centra en su funcionamiento en la mensajería instantánea, como WhatsApp o Discord. Por ello, esta investigación se propone analizar muestras de conversaciones espontáneas, considerando las variables de sexo y generación, con el objetivo de identificar variaciones en el uso de recursos. El estudio revela un cambio semántico emergente, en el que insultos como tonta o zorra pierden su carga negativa en contextos de descortesía afiliativa, reforzando los vínculos afectivos. Estas expresiones predominan en conversaciones entre mujeres, son menos frecuentes entre hombres y se moderan en interacciones mixtas para evitar malentendidos.},
abstract = {Mock impoliteness is a pragmatic phenomenon that, although it involves seemingly
impolite acts such as teasing or insults, is interpreted as a form of interpersonal
bonding (Ruiz Gurillo, 2024). While it has been widely studied in English, research
on this phenomenon in Spanish is scarce and, when there is, none is focused on
its functioning in instant messaging platforms such as WhatsApp or Discord.
Therefore, this investigation aims to analyse samples of spontaneous conversations,
taking into account the variables of gender and generation, with the objective of
identifying variations in the usage of pragmatic strategies. The findings reveal an emerging semantic shift in which insults such as tonta (‘silly’) or zorra (‘bitch’)
lose their negative connotation in contexts of mock impoliteness, for serving to
reinforce affective bonds. These expressions are more prevalent in conversations
between women, less frequent among men, and tend to be moderated in mixed-gender
interactions in order to prevent misunderstandings.},
