In particular, both a local and a nonlocal model including nonlinear diffusion, chemoattraction, chemorepulsion and logistic growth are considered. Some numerical experiments in the context of chemotactic collapse are presented, whose results are in accordance with the previous analysis and show how the blow-up can be prevented by means of the damping gradient term.}, publisher = {Springer International Publishing AG}, keywords = {Chemotactic collapse}, keywords = {Discontinuous Galerkin}, keywords = {Linear scheme}, keywords = {Positivity}, keywords = {Upwind}, title = {On a Linear DG Approximation of Chemotaxis Models with Damping Gradient Nonlinearities}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-032-14789-9_1}, author = {Acosta Soba, Daniel and Columbu, Alessandro and Rodríguez Galván, José Rafael}, }
