La metodología se basa en el análisis de fuentes hemerográficas de la época y documentación archivística. A partir de ellas se reconstruye su actividad y se describen las prácticas festivas estudiantiles asociadas a la tuna en el ámbito universitario gaditano de la década de 1870.; This paper examines the emergence of the first “estudiantinas” (student musical grups) of the Faculty Medicine of Cádiz, between 1870 and 1873, within the context of the city’s old Carnival and the broader phenomenon of “tunas” and “estudiantinas”. The methodology is based on the analysis of period newspapers and archival documents. On board the frigate Nuestra Señora del Carmen, a young surgeon in the Royal Navy was unaware that this voyage would forever mark his life story. Para este estudio hemos accedido a los expedientes académicos en el Archivo de la Universidad de Cádiz de aquellos médicos a los que les iniciaron expedientes disciplinarios entre 1941 y 1946, según consta en la documentación del Colegio Oficial de Médicos de la Provincia de Cádiz.; Following the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), during the 1940s, purges of healthcare professionals were initiated, and doctors, midwives, and nurses were subjected to a purge due to their ideologies, beliefs, or political affiliations. Este trabajo nos acerca también, tangencialmente, al conocimiento de la propia historia del Real Colegio.; The regulation and organization of the Royal College of Surgery of Cádiz are analyzed in the different stages of its existence in order to understand, within its historical and institutional context, the documentary production it must have generated and the responsibility for its custody and archiving.
