In this paper, we offer an overview of the issues surrounding the exploitationof naturalresources in the part of Western Sahara occupied by Morocco since 1975. Special attention is paidtothelegal dispute before the Court of Justice of the EU concerning fishing and agri-food agreements thathavebeen illegally applied in Western Sahara and which have been justified on the basis of an allegedbenefitforthe Sahrawi people. However, other aspects of interest are also addressed, relating to other natural resources(such as phosphates and sand), and how interest in natural resources is encouraging newactors tobecomeinvolved in this long-standing conflict.

<description>Algunos problemas de la investigación científica con niños/niñas/ jóvenes/ (niñaj) y cómo resolverlos. Resultados metodología participativa
Rosa-García, Álvaro
La investigación con niños, niñas y adolescentes (NNA) constantemente supone un gran reto&#13;
tanto a nivel metodológico, como en la planificación como implementación del estudio. Por&#13;
esta razón, toma mayor relevancia y peso las reuniones entre diferentes equipos de&#13;
investigación y trabajo de diversas Universidades, en los que se comparten información,&#13;
nuevos retos y sinergias entre los y las participantes.&#13;
Uno de los objetivos que tiene este proyecto I+D+i es crear Cuadernos de Trabajo que&#13;
permita sintetizar, aclarar y concretar las necesidades surgidas en las investigaciones con&#13;
menores

<title>LGTBIQ+ Victimization in Massive Leisure Contexts: an explorwtory analysis of Feria de Jerez</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/10498/33123</link>
<description>LGTBIQ+ Victimization in Massive Leisure Contexts: an explorwtory analysis of Feria de Jerez
Martín Aragón, María del Mar
Objective: The latest official data showed an alarming increase in LGTBIQ+ hate crimes&#13;
in Cadiz. In general, massive leisure contexts are susceptible to be ideal spaces for these&#13;
aggressions to take place. More specifically, celebrations with an important folkloric&#13;
meaning and cultural tradition are contexts given to the (re)production of the most&#13;
immovable gender stereotypes, strongly rooted in heteropatriarchal behaviour patterns.&#13;
This paper analyzes the victimization suffered by people who identify as LGBTIQ+&#13;
within a specific mass entertainment context, the Feria de Jerez.&#13;
Data/Methods: Data collected from an online survey of people who attended the 2019&#13;
Feria de Jerez (N=648) were implemented. Descriptive analyses were performed to test&#13;
our hypotheses.&#13;
Results: These confirmed that: 1) Men are the most prevalent offenders; 2) Harassment&#13;
and intimidation were the most prevalent incidents; 3) Night and early morning are the&#13;
most prevalent times; 4) Casetas are the most prevalent places.&#13;
Discussion: These results fit with the Routine Activity Theory (Cohen and Felson, 1979)&#13;
as we were able to find that for all incidents, there was a motivated offender, a suitable&#13;
target and the absence of a capable guardian. The high levels of victimization of certain&#13;
groups could be analyzed from crime patterns as defined by Bratingham and Bratingham&#13;
(1984). But it is also necessary to include the contexts of mass leisure as crime generator&#13;
places in this theory.

<title>Revisable Permanent Prison Sentence: the de facto life sentence in Spain</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/10498/33121</link>
<description>Revisable Permanent Prison Sentence: the de facto life sentence in Spain
Martín Aragón, María del Mar
By the Constitutional Law 1/2015, the Spanish Criminal Code was amended to&#13;
introduce a new sentencing under the name “revisable permanent prison”, which&#13;
basically allow parole ineligibility periods and abolish opportunities for early parole&#13;
reviews for certain serious offences. So as a result, Spain do have mandatory life&#13;
sentence under a politically correct name, in order to be respectful with the&#13;
constitutional requirements which stablish that the main aim of the imprisonment must&#13;
be the rehabilitation.&#13;
The paper focus on legal aspects -such as the constitutionality of this sentence or its&#13;
relation with the penitentiary system- and on the criminological ones, such as the&#13;
possibilities of rehabilitation and the consequences of long term imprisonment no just&#13;
for the inmate theirself, but also for their inner circle. Related to the rehabilitation, the&#13;
problem of the sentence development is addressed from two different views; from the&#13;
lack of prediction in the law and from the penitentiary scope.&#13;
The key elements of this entire truss designed by the lawmaker are the victims, whose&#13;
concerns are not understand as a needing of expanding their safety as a criminal policy&#13;
goal, but in such a way that they have been transformed into policy sanctification. In&#13;
that way, it is highlighted here how the media influence the perception the people have&#13;
on the criminal issue and the important role that have recently played the victims’&#13;
lobbies in the criminal law development.
