El presente artículo demuestra la validez del sucinto panorama general sobre la historia&#13;
de la gramática desde la Antigüedad a su tiempo esbozado por el Prof. Alarcos Llorach&#13;
al comienzo de su Gramática estructural (según la Escuela de Copenhague y con&#13;
especial atención a la lengua española) y su acierto al señalar que los principales&#13;
problemas de la gramática normativa fueron los dos siguientes: de un lado, el error de&#13;
identificar las categorías gramaticales con las lógicas, y, de otro, la creencia de que las&#13;
categorías válidas en la lengua griega o latina se proyectaban en los demás idiomas.&#13;
El trabajo evidencia que, aunque nuestro investigador hace esa afirmación a través de&#13;
Nebrija y sin mencionar al Brocense, la realidad es que su planteamiento resulta válido&#13;
con carácter general, ya que ambos humanistas cometen los dos errores por él detectados. Es más, pese a la preeminencia del segundo respecto al primero como lingüista,&#13;
no faltan temas, como el de la convencionalidad del lenguaje, en los que el gramático&#13;
andaluz está mucho más acertado que el extremeño.&#13;
La investigación, en fin, demuestra que, solo cuando los estudiosos se liberaron de los&#13;
problemas detectados por el Prof. Alarcos, se pudo abrir con el rigor necesario la puerta&#13;
de la gramática estructural.; This article demonstrates the validity of the succinct general overview of the history&#13;
of grammar from Antiquity to his time outlined by Prof. Alarcos Llorach at the beginning of his Structural Grammar (according to the Copenhagen School and with&#13;
special attention to the Spanish language) and his success in pointing out that the&#13;
main problems of normative grammar were the following two: on the one hand, the&#13;
error of identifying grammatical categories with logical ones, and, on the other, the&#13;
belief that the valid categories in the Greek language or Latin were projected in other&#13;
languages.&#13;
The work shows that, although our researcher makes this statement through Nebrija&#13;
and without mentioning El Brocense, however, the reality is that his approach is generally valid, since both humanists commit the two errors detected by him. What’s more,&#13;
despite the preeminence of the second over the first as a linguist, however, there is no&#13;
shortage of issues, such as the conventionality of language, in which the Andalusian&#13;
grammarian is much more correct than the Extremaduran.&#13;
The research, in short, demonstrates that, only when scholars freed themselves from&#13;
the problems detected by Prof. Alarcos could the door of structural grammar be opened&#13;
with the necessary rigor.

<description>La 'Crónica General' de Florián de Ocampo y la invención retórica de la historia de España

Ocampo fue el primer autor en acometer una historia general de España en el siglo XVI. Su narración del pasado remoto de la Península influyó tanto en la historiografía moderna como en el imaginario colectivo, a pesar de lo cual fue tachado de charlatán por su tendencia a inventar fuentes y emplear falsarios. Sin embargo, si estudiamos al historiador como creador de un discurso histórico capaz de dar forma a la emergente nación a través de la invención de sus orígenes, siguiendo los modelos de la historiografía isocratea, heredera de la oratoria epidíctica clásica, podemos obtener una apreciación valiosa no sólo del esfuerzo de Ocampo, sino de los usos de la tradición clásica en el proceso de creación de las naciones modernas.

<description>Tuna Across the Strait of Gibraltar: Traces of a Lost Fishing Myth?

The fishing industry was the main source of livelihood for many populations&#13;
living near the Strait of Gibraltar from the VI-V century BC onwards, as testified by archeological and literary sources. At the Phoenician colony of Gadir, and allied settlements, coins&#13;
were struck with the image of the tuna fish on one side and the god Melqart, protector of the&#13;
Western Phoenicians, on the other. In this article, we propose that this relationship between&#13;
the Phoenician god and tuna fish could have been the subject of a local myth, adapted from a&#13;
Semitic cosmogonic myth into a fishing myth and located in the geographical landscape of the&#13;
West. We analyze its potential traces in ritual, iconography, and Greco-Roman texts dealing&#13;
with the exploits of Heracles and other seafarers in the West, which are suspect of having been&#13;
subject to various forms of Euhemerism and syncretism, without obliterating all traces of the&#13;
previous mythology.

La ciudad de Cádiz recibió un tratamiento particular en las fuentes grecorromanas debido a su relación con los confines del mundo, el Océano, y lugares míticos como Eritía y Tarteso. Esto resultó en una multiplicidad de nombres, cada uno de ellos relacionado con una faceta real o imaginaria, que la Antigüedad trató de sistematizar de diversas formas. Aquí estudiamos el uso creativo que la historiografía nacional y local hacen de esta multiplicidad, con el objeto de conciliar el antiguo prestigio de la ciudad con las connotaciones negativas que le confería su carácter de enclave mercantil y extranjero.
