Llama el autor de este artículo a la reflexión sobre como un evento cultural, en este caso, la Bienal de flamenco, incide sobre la sociedad que la organiza. Para ello, analiza, en primer lugar, la génesis del proyecto para, a continuación, ponderar su impacto, desde varios puntos de vista: social, económico, cultural, etc., en el territorio que lo acoge.
