This paper focuses on the study of Freemasonry in Cadiz, a key Andalusian province in the development of the Order of the Great Architect in Spain. The paper examines, in particular, the lodge Sincere Union, the oldest lodge of Cadiz belonging to the Elizabethan period. The study is based on papers intended for the years 1877-1880, with fragmentary references to the previous period, suggesting the spatiotemporal importance of Sincere Union, not only numerically and sociologically, but also from a masonic point of view, since it was at the same time a high degree Chapter lodge
