El Fondo Palacio Ducal de Fernán Núñez (Córdoba): un ejemplo de archivo de la Ilustración

Abstract

El ducado de Fernán Núñez conservó, hasta la cesión municipal de 1983, un desconocido fondo en su palacio de Córdoba que es complementario al depositado por la casa nobiliaria en el Archivo Histórico de la Nobleza. Aunque la documentación más antigua es del siglo XVI, fue en el siglo XVIII, empujado por los daños del terremoto del Lisboa e influido por los ideales de la Ilustración, cuando Carlos José Gutiérrez de los Ríos (VI conde de Fernán Núñez, 1742-1795) compuso un nuevo archivo, a la vez que recuperó parte de su memoria. Un destacado fondo que reúne no solo la historia del antiguo mayorazgo y su villa, sino también una selecta hemeroteca fruto del trabajo de la administración.

The Duchy of Fernán Núñez kept, until the municipal transfer of 1983, an unknown fund in his palace in Córdoba that is complementary to that deposited by the noble house in the Archivo Histórico de la Nobleza. Although the oldest documentation is from the 16th century, it was in the 18th century, pushed by the damage of the Lisbon earthquake and influenced by the ideals of the Enlightenment, when Carlos José Gutiérrez de los Ríos (VI count of Fernán Núñez, 1742-1795) composed a new archive, at the same time recovered part of its memory. An outstanding fund that brings together not only the history of the old estate and its village, but also a select newspaper archive, the result of the administration work.
