Abstract

This report includes the activities developed by the student Marta Román Arias for the completion of the Final Degree Project in Marine Sciences. It describes the operation of the SCI-CM, specifying, in addition, the activities carried out during the internship period. This period comprised 5 months, distributed in alternate weeks from January to May 2021 (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), with a duration of 300 hours. In this report we will find a detailed description of the facilities and materials of the SCI-CM, as well as the procedures and methodologies used for the correct operation of a crop plant. The daily experience in the Servicio Central de Investigación en Cultivos Marinos provides the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired throughout the Degree in Marine Sciences, complementing the training based on experiences in a real environment. During the practical stay, different activities and tasks have been developed within each of the services and units of the SCI-CM, which are included in this report all in order to know all the aspects related to the operation of a installation of marine cultures.
