Affective-sexual, bodily and gender diversity is a reality that has only recently become explicitly visible in school contexts. Despite social progress in the recognition of this diversity, there is still some reticence regarding its consideration as an inherent part of human diversity. The aim of this study was to find out the perceptions of Andalusian adolescents and young people about affective-sexual diversity in classrooms. The sample consisted of 44 students, aged between 15 and 25 (M= 18.9, SD= 2.3), 25 cisgender-straight and 19 LGBTQ+youth. A qualitative focus group design was used. The results show that, despite progress in terms of the visibility of gender diversity in the classroom, such diversity is still not integrated as part of everyday classroom life, with a heteronormative model persisting. In addition, the existence of various types of violence towards those who question this model was revealed. The results are discussed in relation to previous studies, highlightingthe need to promote inclusive education that explicitly considers affective-sexual, bodily and gender diversity as a constitutive and enriching part of human groups.
