Planejamento para a Criação de Áreas de Exclusão de Pesca: O Caso do Setor Itaguaçu, Área de Proteção Ambiental Marinha Litoral Centro/Sp.

Abstract

This study was conducted between 2009 and 2015 at the Central Coast Marine Protected Area (CCMPA), coastline of the State of São Paulo. It analyses the establishment of a participatory process that gave rise to the fisheries exclusion zones of the CCMPA, Itaguaçu sector, and planning and management measures employed for its creation, communication, inspection and monitoring. This is a qualitative work and is based on data gathered from the specific scientific literature, technical documents and minutes of meetings, relevant regulations, and during the meetings with the Management Council and the Fishery Thematic Chamber, both as attendees and observers. The information gathered were analyzed using Content Analysis Method. We conclude that the methodological process of fisheries management employed by the Central Coast Marine Protection Area and the initial actions for the implementation of the fisheries exclusion zones in Itaguaçu sector were effective and this area is extremely important to the protection and recovery of the fisk stocks.

Este estudio analiza el establecimiento de un proceso participativo que dio lugar a las zonas de exclusión pesquera de pesca del CCMPA, sector de Itaguaçu, y las medidas de planificación y gestión empleadas para su creación, comunicación, inspección y monitoreo. Se trata de un trabajo cualitativo y se basa en datos recogidos de la literatura científica específica, documentos técnicos y actas de reuniones, reglamentos pertinentes, y durante las reuniones con el Consejo de Gestión y la Cámara Temática de Pesca, tanto en calidad de asistentes como de observadores. La información recopilada se analizó mediante el método de análisis de contenido. Se concluye que el proceso metodológico de gestión pesquera y las acciones iniciales para la implementación de las zonas de exclusión pesquera en Itaguaçu. zonas de exclusión pesquera en el sector de Itaguaçu fueron eficaces y esta área es de extrema importancia para la protección y recuperación de las poblaciones de peces.
