La consagración de la Catedral de Cádiz. Sobre la autoría de dos de sus obras

Abstract

La catedral de Cádiz fue consagrada en noviembre de 1838. Este acontecimiento fue el motivo de la creación de unas pinturas historicistas que se encuentran en el interior de la misma. La seo se nutre de un rico patrimonio tanto escultórico como pictórico, y cuenta con espléndidas obras de orfebrería, y como no, con la propia arquitectura en sí. Estamos antes una investigación minuciosa que, pretende aportar datosde gran interés y relevancia, y que ayudan a desvelar quienes fueron los autores de dos de sus grandes obras pictóricas

Cadiz Cathedral was consecratedin November 1838. This event was the reason for the creation of the historicist paintings that can be found inside the cathedral. The cathedral has a rich sculptural and pictorial heritage, as well as splendid works of goldsmithery and, of course, the architecture itself. This is a meticulous investigation which aims to provide data of great interest and relevance, and which helps to reveal who were the authors of two of its great pictorial works
