Cultura política, historiografía y comunismo en España

Abstract

La cultura política de los comunistas españoles constituye un tema de investigación en auge, cada vez más presente en las investigaciones de los contemporaneístas de nuestro país. Dada la complejidad propia del análisis cultural y la gran cantidad de trabajos producidos en los últimos años, se hace necesario acometer la tarea de trazar un estado de la cuestión capaz de dar cuenta de cómo y desde qué presupuestos teóricos se ha estudiado dicha temática. Para ello, abordaremos la evolución de esta en los estudios de cultura política y en la historiografía sobre comunismo. Finalizaremos el ensayo señalando algunas rémoras que, si bien se irán disolviendo al calor de la evolución de la propia línea de investigación, han estado presentes en su seno desde principios del siglo xxi.

The political culture of the Spanish communists is a booming research topic, increasingly present in the research agenda of scholars of Modern Spain. Given the complexity of undertaking cultural analysis and the appearance of a large number of works in recent years, it is necessary to outline the current state of the field in order to account for how the subject has been studied and with what theoretical assumptions. In order to carry out this task, we will address the evolution in the study of political culture and in the historiography on communism. We will conclude the essay by pointing out some hindrances that have been present since the beginning of the twenty-first century, while at the same time recognizing that they will probably disappear as the field continues to develop.
