Currently, fentanyl is assuming a huge health crisis in the United States, which has alarmed other countries around the world to avoid falling into this problem. As a result of this problem arises this undergraduate tesis, to analyze the situation and try to minimize the impact of this substance on our country. An extensive bibliography has been examinated, including scientific literature, legislation and academic articles, among others. Fentanyl was studied in a comprehensive way to determine whether it could be included in the
current Spanish criminal law or if modifications were necessary. In addition, it examined how to prevent its arrival in Spain, as well as the preventive measures used at both national and international levels. Its prevention is crucial to avoid health problems in society and for this, effective international cooperation and citizen collaboration are necessary.
