This study was the first to implement intracerebroventricular (icv) injections to assess the effects of GnIH in fish, marking a methodological shift from earlier in vitro and intraperitoneal approaches. The results demonstrated that sbGnIH-2 significantly downregulated key reproductive hormone genes in the brain and pituitary.
