The Internalization process of Higher Education Institutions find, in European programme, the instruments for the modernization of the didactic offer, according transnational high quality standards, the promotion of the mobility of staff and students, accessibility and equity. DIEGO project, funded by European Commission, as Capacity building in the field of higher education, aims at establishing six innovative courses in six Latin American Universities with the collaboration of European partners. The project proposes the implementation of MOOCs and the use of OERs, as new strategy to teach renewable energy courses aiding to the future recognition among universities of different countries. DIEGO wants demonstrate the possibility of develop a new model, in Latin America, similar to ECTS, used in Europe. The final innovative outcome will be establishing a pilot experience as American High Education Area, during the DIEGO project.
