The doctrine of the jurists, although it could not be considered a formal source of Law, takes on a fundamental role in the creation, the progressive development, and the reform of the law. All of this occurs through its teachings and works, with the formation of those jurists that will be future legislators and judges. Furthermore, many legislative reforms are due to the doctrine, as it acts as a force that generates legal judgements and affects the conscience of the legislators so that they understand the necessity of reform on the way to shaping social reality in a determined moment. Thus, its decisive influence in the field of law is given by the auctoritas of its authors, jurists, universities, and centers that promote study and practice of Law.es_ES
