Actualización del tratamiento farmacológico del trastorno de déficit de atención con hiperactividad (TDAH) en la población pediátrica y adolescente. Implicaciones de enfermería.

Abstract

TDAH es una sigla que se está familiarizando cada vez más en nuestra sociedad. TDAH, Trastorno por déficit atencional con hiperactividad, es un trastorno emergente de alta prevalencia y de carácter crónico donde la etiología es multifactorial, la fisiopatología es desconocida, los síntomas clínicos son característicos, el diagnóstico es exclusivamente clínico y presenta alta comorbilidad asociada al trastorno. Todos estos factores influyen negativamente en la evolución clínica del individuo a nivel personal, familiar, escolar, etc., siendo clave un tratamiento adecuado e individualizado que se ajuste a las necesidades propias del individuo, mejorando así su calidad de vida. Mediante esta revisión bibliográfica pretendemos actualizar los conocimientos sobre el tratamiento farmacológico del TDAH, destacando la efectividad, seguridad y efectos adversos que estos muestran. Pese a los resultados obtenidos, se necesitan investigaciones futuras sobre el trastorno y las distintas terapias farmacológicas para un abordaje adecuado de esta enfermedad.

ADHD is an acronym which is getting more and more familiar in our society. ADHD, attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity, is a high prevalenece, emergent, and chronical disorder with a multifactorial etiology, unknown physiopathology, characteristic clinical syntoms, with an exclusive clinical diagnosis and a high comorbidity related with the disease. All these factors have a negative influence in the clinical evolution of the patient in a personal, familiar, scholar way, and being an adequate and individualized treatment a key to manage every necessity and characteristic of the patient, being able to improve their quality of life. Through this bibliographic search we pretend to update the knowledges about pharmacologic ADHD treatment, highlighting the efficiency, security and adverse effects shown. To rise all the goals proposed, we made a selection articles basing on data bases as, MEDLINE PubMed, Crochrane, Cuiden, between many others. After examining them, we concluded that every different pharmacological therapy approved for the ADHD are efficient for its treatment and It doesn't present serious adverse effect in general. Despite the obtained resultes, we need future investigations about the disorder and all the different pharmacological therapies to get an appropriate approach to this disease.
