Abstract
En este artículo analizaremos los orígenes de la Cruz Roja en Cádiz bajo la presidencia de don Juan Bautista Chape Fernández y don Cayetano del Toro, cuyos expedientes se conservan en el Archivo de la Universidad de Cádiz. Asimismo, destacaremos los servicios prestados por esta organización internacional ideada por Henry Dunant.
 
In this article we will analyze the origins of the Red Cross in Cádiz under the presidency of Mr. Juan Bautista Chape Fernández and Mr. Cayetano del Toro, whose files are kept in the Archive of the University of Cádiz. We also highlight the services provided by this international organization created by Henry Dunant.
