The Carnival of Cádiz has usually been written in masculine terms. A very
important part of the population has been forgotten. Women demand not only their
presence, but also that their absence be made known. The reflection is strong in this
article which, with the intention of divulging a vulgar reality, demands that the omitted
reality be made public. In this case, it is the women who underwrite an evidence. It is
the women of the Cadiz carnival who take the floor, because it belongs to them and they
will not be silenced. A feminine journey that was undoubtedly necessary to begin to
write or rewrite one of the pages with hardly any lyrics and music (in feminine) of the
Cadiz carnival
