Libros de no ficción y alfabetización sanitaria: selección para la biblioteca escolar

Abstract

Esta investigación se centra en el análisis documental de la oferta editorial de libros ilustrados de no ficción para identificar, en función de su contenido y características discursivas, aquellos libros que podrían contribuir en la escuela al desarrollo de la alfabetización sanitaria. Para ello, se revisaron 40 catálogos de editoriales especializadas y se identificaron 57 libros relacionados con esta temática. Estos libros se sometieron a un análisis de contenido utilizando una parrilla de análisis validada por Romero Oliva et al. (2021) para identificar sus características clave. Se seleccionaron ocho obras que cumplían con criterios de calidad para formar un corpus de lecturas no ficcionales. Los resultados del estudio, basados en las reflexiones sobre estas obras, se presentan como una propuesta de selección crítica para su inclusión en las bibliotecas escolares.

This research focuses on the documentary analysis of the editorial offer of non-fiction illustrated books to identify, based on their content and discursive characteristics, those books that could contribute to the development of health literacy at school.For this purpose, 40 catalogs of specialized publishers were reviewed and 57 books related to this subject were identified. These books were submitted to a content analysis using an analysis grid validated by Romero Oliva et al. (2021) to identify its key features. Eight works that met quality criteria were selected to form a corpus of non-fictional readings. The results of the study, based on the reflections on these works, are presented as a critical selection proposal for their inclusion in school libraries.
