Las ciudades del emirato nazarí y tres décadas de historiografía: miradas desde la historia urbana

Abstract

El repaso de treinta años de producción historiográfica sobre las ciudades del emirato nazarí no pretende ser un balance exhaustivo del amplio caudal de publicaciones que suscitaron, sino que pretende determinar qué papel desempeñan las ciudades del emirato en la historia urbana, disciplina que abarca, de manera diacrónica, todos los aspectos de las ciudades, urbanismo, sociedad, economía, etc. Si la producción académica ha permitido un avance significativo acerca de las dinámicas urbanas y del orden urbano, las ciudades del reino nazarí quedan, sin embargo, invisibilizadas en la historia urbana del medioevo.

This review of thirty years of historiographical production on the cities of the Nasrid Emirate does not aim to be an exhaustive assessment of the wide range of publications that have been produced, but rather to determine what role the cities of the Emirate play in urban history, a discipline that covers, diachronically, all aspects of cities, urban planning, society, economy, etc. Although academic production has enabled significant progress to be made on urban dynamics and urban order, the cities of the Nasrid kingdom have nevertheless remained invisible in the urban history of the Middle Ages.

امللخص: ال يهدف هذا االستعراض لثالثني عاما من اإلنتاج التارخيي حول مدن اإلمارة النصرية إىل أن يكون تقييما شامال جملموعة من املنشورات العلمية اليت مت إنتاجها، بل يهدف إىل حتديد الدور الذي تضطلع به مدن اإلمارة النصرية يف التاريخ احلضري، وهو ختصص يشمل من الناحية التارخيية مجيع جوانب املدن والتخطيط احلضري واجملتمع واالقتصاد إخل. وعلى الرغم من أن اإلنتاج األكادميي قد م ّكن من إحراز تقُّدمكبري يف الديناميكيات احلضرية والنظام احلضري، إال أن مدن اململكة النصرية ظلت مع ذلك غري مرئية يف التاريخ احلضري للعصور الوسطى.
