El movimiento de mujeres palestinas entre el nacionalismo anticolonial y la ongización

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza el feminismo anticolonial en el contexto árabe y palestino, con un enfoque en la intersección entre género y nación dentro del movimiento de mujeres palestinas. Aborda las transformaciones del movimiento en el marco del neoliberalismo, poniendo especial atención en su ONGización tras los Acuerdos de Oslo y presenta un estudio etnográfico de observación participante en una organización de mujeres palestinas, la Unión de Mujeres Árabes de Beit Sahour. El objetivo del estudio es, por un lado, poner de relieve los desafíos actuales para mantener una resistencia nacional anticolonial liderada por mujeres y, por otro, explorar cómo esta organización equilibra su misión feminista y nacionalista frente a las presiones de los modelos de desarrollo internacionales.

This paper examines anti-colonial feminism in the Arab and Palestinian context, focusing on the intersection of gender and nation within the Palestinian women’s movement. It explores the transformations of the movement within the framework of neoliberalism, with particular attention to its NGOization following the Oslo Accords. The study includes an ethnographic participant observation in a Palestinian women’s organization, the Arab Women’s Union of Beit Sahour. The aim of the study is, on the one hand, to highlight the current challenges of sustaining a women-led anti-colonial national resistance and, on the other hand, to explore how this organization balances its feminist and nationalist mission amid the pressures of international development models.
