En diálogo y transición: [PACESETTERS] En un momento en el que múltiples urgencias sacuden viejas certezas, es hora de mirar hacia afuera y establecer nuevos lazos

Abstract

PACESETTERS es un proyecto de investigación que reúne a socios y lugares, prácticas creativas y perspectivas de investigación que se salen de lo común: científicos del clima y emprendedores artísticos, patrimonios difíciles y pueblos encalados, encuestas psicométricamente validadas y estética circular. En este artículo exploramos los conceptos clave que sustentan PACESETTERS, con objeto de impulsar la transición hacia economías más justas y sostenibles. La fundación del museo de Genalguacil, el festival de arte de Galway y el centro cultural C.K. Norwida de Nowa Huta pueden ser organizaciones de pequeña escala, pero ágiles, flexibles y lo suficientemente experimentadas como para producir enormes efectos e impactos en sus comunidades y más allá.

PACESETTERS is a research project that brings together partners and places, creative practice and research perspectives that are out of the ordinary: climate scientists and artistic entrepreneurs, difficult heritages and whitewashed villages, psychometrically validated surveys and circular aesthetics. In this article we explore the key concepts underpinning PACESETTERS to not just adapt to but drive the transition into more just and sustainable economies. Genalguacil’s public museum foundation, Galway’s art festival, and Nowa Huta’s cultural centre C.K. Norwida may be small-scale organisations but they are lean, flexible and experienced enough to produce huge effects and impacts in their communities and beyond.
