AB In the Arab Spring theaim of the discursive practices was togain access to political discourse inthe public sphere and media discourseor social networks. Consequently,this use has been an importantfactor and a key element inthe failure, success or continuationof the process of delegitimization ofthe State apparatus by the social actorsof these popular mobilizations.Taking the above background intoconsideration, the aim of this paperis to analyse the discursive processof self-legitimation and delegitmationof the power in the discourse of the20 February Movement in Morocco(M20F). The theoretical framework inwhich frames the analysis of the processof legitimation, self-delegitimationand delegitimation in the discoursesof the M20F is: i) the notionof discursive legitimation Van Dijkand Martin Rojo (1997), Van Dijk(2003) and Chilton (2011), ii) the notionof context of Van Dijk, principallythat refers to the local andglobal context Van Dijk (1999) and2003), and iii) the definition of discourseand discursive strategies notionfrom historical discursive approachWodak (1999, 2001, 2003and 2005).
