AB This project examines the countercultural production associated with homosexuality and the gay liberation movement. We will analyse two texts pertaining to this production and underline their features and how they use American symbols to reflect the homosexual experience. Furthermore, the objects of analysis shall centre upon two works which have been ignored to a certain extent by academic research in the study of this period. In this respect, we shall display how these novels can be included as representations of American counterculture.
