AB Presidential debates constitute an essential part in the political campaign to gain the vote of citizens for the elections. In fact, political actors employ their own tecnhiques to persuade the audience through spoken language which allow citizens to know the true personality of the candidates. The purpose of this project is to analyse the political discourse through the examination of seven representative linguistic features employed by the two candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the 2013 United States presidential debates.
