RT journal article T1 Caracterización genética de Zostera noltii (Zosteraceae, Magnoliophyta) en Lanzarote, Islas Canarias A1 Rumeu Ruiz, Beatriz A1 Pérez Pérez, José Antonio A1 Hernández Ferrer, Mariano A1 Aldanondo Aristizabal, Naroa A1 Gil Rodríguez, María Candelaria A2 Biología AB In the last years many changes have occurred in the Arrecife shore, Lanzarote Island, that have produced a worsening of ellgrass meadows (Zostera noltii), this been considered an endangered species in Canary Islands with a high risk of extinction. The surviving units represent clonal individuals, which reinforces previous diagnosis on the critical state of this natural population. At the end of this article are discussed, in a population genetics context, different considerations about a future plan for restoration of the natural ecosystem of Arrecife shore.
