RT journal article T1 Simple Modifications of Sonogel-Carbon Electrodes to Obtain New pH and T Sensors—Target: Reducing Costs, Not Value † A1 García Guzmán, Juan José A1 Sainz Calvo, Álvaro Jesús A1 Pérez Fernández, Ana A1 Sierra Padilla, Alfonso A1 Bellido Milla, Dolores A1 Cubillana Aguilera, Laura A1 Palacios Santander, José María A2 Química Analítica A2 Química Orgánica K1 sonogel-carbon electrodes K1 pH K1 temperature K1 polyaniline K1 sinusoidal voltages K1 multiwalled carbon nanotubes K1 cost effective sensor AB In this work two new different sensors are developed: a pH sensor and a temperature probe. The former is based on an electrodeposited polyaniline (PANI) layer employing sinusoidal voltagesand optimizing the deposition time (10–20 min). On the other hand, the temperature probe wasdesigned by taking advantage of the carbon nanotubes’ temperature properties. Both sensors werebuilt on sonogel-carbon electrodes, seeking cost effective devices. In both scenarios, the results weresatisfactory; the repeatability and reproducibility had values below 5%. Additionally, an excellent pHsensor selectivity was evaluated with the challenging interstitial matrix, prospecting an adequatefuture employment in real clinical samples.
