Morphologically resembling cystic neoplasms, they pose challengesin differential diagnosis. They are truly benign cysts thattypically occur in salivary glands and their occurrence in thepancreas is extremely rare, accounting for approximately0.5 % of pancreatic cystic lesions. More prevalent in males, they often manifest asymptomatically or with nonspecificabdominal discomfort.
