The proposal follows an interdisciplinaryapproach integrating mathematical and artistic content, situating the learning of plane isometries asthe basis for creating geometric and visual compositions. The intervention was implemented as apractical workshop in which students, through guided activities, progressively developed the capacityto apply geometric transformations in the plane. The methodology linked semi-regular tessellationswith artistic compositions, supporting the development of spatial reasoning. This experience acts asa motivational agent for converting the art classroom into an active mathematical learning environment. Results indicate an increase of student engagement, persistence in tasks resolution, and improvement in spatial visualization skills in geometric contexts highlighting the potential of combiningmanipulation of teaching material in interdisciplinary learning processes within compulsory curricula.
