La vida familiar de los esclavos en el Cádiz de la modernidad (1600-1750)

Abstract

Durante los siglos XVII y XVIII Cádiz se convierte en uno de los principales núcleos esclavistas españoles, y estos esclavos tuvieron que empezar una nueva existencia totalmente diferente de la de sus lugares de origen. Este trabajo pretende acercarse a su vida familiar, analizando sus comportamientos matrimoniales y la incidencia de la natalidad ilegítima.

During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries Cadiz becomes one of the main Spanish slave cores, and these slaves had to start a new life totally different from their places of origin. This paper intends to approach their family life, analyzing their behavior marriage and the incidence of illegitimate birth.
