El paradigma indiciario, las fuentes hemerográficas y la supuesta emigración golondrina de las Islas Canarias a Cuba

Abstract

En el presente trabajo nos proponemos abordar, a propósito de la supuesta emigración golondrina de las Islas Canarias a Cuba en los años inmediatos a la I Guerra Mundial, las limitaciones de las perspectivas macrosociales que ofrecen las fuentes tradicionales en la investigación histórica. Como factor corrector, hemos recreado la abundante luz que, desde el punto de vista metodológico, arroja la microhistoria italiana y, desde el documental, la prensa de la época bajo el paradigma indiciario de la misma corriente historiográfica

In this paper we propose to address, regarding the supposed swallow emigration from the Canary Islands to Cuba in the immediate years after World War I, the limitations of the ma-crosocial perspectives offered by traditional sources in historical research. As a corrective factor, we have recreated the abundant light that, from the methodological point of view, is thrown by the Italian microhistory and, from the documentary, the press of the time under the indicative paradigm of the same historiographic trend.
