The school management and its metaphors: Symbol, action and ethics. Case study

This summary is about the study of the practice in School Management, making use of metaphor as an analysis tool. This thesis tackles the following topics: (a) the access to the managerial function, and the management model; (b) the dynamic dimension of the managerial action: confidence and loneliness; (c) ethics and the silence role as a micro-politics tool; (d) timing and its use in the management work, and (e) the management tasks. For all this, an ethnographic research has been carried through a case study, which was done in a Primary School, in Cadiz.
