Abstract

La Estrategia de Seguridad Nacional (ESN) 2017, que viene a sustituir a la de 2013, fue aprobada el 1º de diciembre de dicho año por el Consejo de Seguridad Nacional, primero, y por el Consejo de Ministros unas horas después. El nuevo texto, elaborado por el Gobierno del Partido Popular, fue consensuado con el PSOE y Ciudadanos. Tan es así, que la presentación y defensa de la misma fue realizada en la Comisión Mixta Congreso-Senado de Seguridad Nacional por el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez (PSOE), en fecha 16 de octubre de 2018, junto con el Informe Anual de Seguridad Nacional 2017, igualmente elaborado por el Gobierno anterior.
