Análisis de la situación logística de la ciudad de León y sus alrededores

Abstract

La ciudad de León, en el noroeste de España, se perfila como el centro logístico del cuarto noroeste español. Su ubicación entre la capital de España y los principales puertos de la costa atlántico-cantábrica le confieren una situación privilegiada que, unida a las áreas logísticas de su entorno y a los nuevos proyectos previstos, la convierten en un punto de referencia. A ello contribuyen también sus conexiones por los cuatro modos de transporte, donde predominan la carretera y el ferrocarril. En ausencia de grandes competidores cercanos, una apuesta efectiva por parte del gobierno regional podría situarla en el equivalente occidental de la Plataforma Logística de Zaragoza, una de las más importantes de Europa.

The city of León, in the northwest of Spain, is emerging as the logistics centre of the fourth Spanish northwest. Its location between the Spanish capital and the main ports on the Atlantic-Cantabrian coast give it a privileged location, which, together with the logistics areas in the surrounding area and the new projects planned, make it a point of reference. This is also supported by its connections by the four modes of transport, where road and rail transport are predominant. In the absence of large nearby competitors, an effective commitment on the part of the regional government could place it in the western equivalent of the Zaragoza Logistics Platform, one of the most important in Europe.
